Please welcome Ken Bevenour, our new Executive Director, to NJSHP

The Board of Directors and I are pleased to announce a new Executive Director position within the NJSHP organization. This position is a paid part-time dedicated resource that will be responsible for working closely with the Board of Directors to ensure the mission and vision of the organization are fulfilled. Some of the areas of responsibilities include: support of the daily operations, government relations, advocate for the profession of pharmacy, and support our local chapters and members. We are confident this position will continue to move the organization ahead into the future.     

The individual hired for this new position is Ken Bevenour, a highly qualified and well respected pharmacist. Ken Bevenour has held positions in hospital pharmacy leadership for over 30 years, with 23 of those in New Jersey between Virtua Health and Jefferson Health (formerly Kennedy Health System). Ken's career highlight's include implementation of a PGY1 Residency program at Kennedy Health, construction of a USP 797/800 compliant medical oncology infusion pharmacy, implementation of a retail based employee pharmacy program, initiation of a mixed-use 340B program, multiple pharmacy department re-designs, utilization of pharmacy based automated technology (including an Epic install in 2019), and recipient of the NJSHP 2018 Gregory Santora Pharmacist of the Year Leadership Award. He received his pharmacy degree from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy (University of the Sciences), an MBA in Healthcare Administration from Saint Joe's University, and completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at the Milton S. Hershey, Penn State University Medical Center. 

Ken resides in Sicklerville with his wife, three daughters, and two German Shepherd 'sons'.
